We provide convenient in office testing for lactose intolerance and SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth).


LACTOSE BREATH TEST: A lactose hydrogen breath test is a simple, non-invasive way to diagnose lactose intolerance. Lactose intolerance is the inability to digest lactose or milk sugar. Lactose intolerance can lead to symptoms including diarrhea, abdominal pain, and abdominal bloating. The test consists of blowing into a handheld machine every 15 minutes after ingestions of a lactose containing solution. There is preparation required to ensure accurate results, which will be reviewed prior to scheduling your test. Please allow 2 hours for your breath test appointment.

SIBO BREATH TEST: A hydrogen breath test is a simple, non-invasive way to diagnose SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth). SIBO is an overgrowth of the normal intestinal bacteria that can lead to symptoms of diarrhea, abdominal pain, gas, and bloating. The test consists of blowing into a handheld machine after ingestion of a liquid substrate. There is preparation required to ensure accurate results, which will be reviewed prior to scheduling your test. Please allow 2 hours for your breath test appointment.
